Giving is a Gift-Write a Review!

Giving is so easy to do but also so easy not to do. Remember that when you give a review, you may be making someone’s day and giving them hope. There are so many ways to give if we just take the time!

I recently went to California and found a coffee shop/juice joint that I loved and went to three times in the course of a weekend! I went wild and gave them reviews and raves on Yelp, Trip Advisor, Instagram and Facebook. The owner and worker bees were thrilled and so grateful. In particular I loved the Coconut Activated Charcoal latte, which I have pictured here. So, if you find yourself in Newport Beach, go to Juice Mi!

Small shops and restaurants are great places to start reviewing to help give them a boost. Pick your favorite platform and give your favorite spot a shout out!

At the end of the year, charities are often in desperate need of donations, particularly financially. Why not research and donate to three charities this month! You can also drop off clothing, canned foods, etc. or spend some time volunteering. In November, I donated to The Gathering Place, Warren Village and Nica Nadadores.

Entrepreneurs and professionals also need your reviews. I often use LinkedIn to write reviews too. (I have done over 100 there.) If you have a great coach, accountant, attorney, financial planner, realtor, speaker, travel company, etc., write them a glowing review on the platform that helps them most. If you aren’t sure, just ask them what helps!

And now to my special spot, authors. Let others know what books you like on Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes & Noble and social media. I always suggest writing three reviews on different books at one shot to keep Amazon from thinking you are biased. (And you don’t need to have purchased the book on Amazon to write a review there.)

So my suggestion is to give in three ways (at least) this month. Write 3 reviews, donate to 3 charities, do something that is giving. Then create a giving mindset and make a habit of it. Don’t let a month go by without giving a review to three different people, organizations, books or products. It is a lot of fun to make someone’s day. Give it a try!

What a great post on giving! I really enjoyed it. I just recently was thinking of giving reviews on LinkedIn. I will do it now more regularly from now one. And also for the books on Amazon. What a great idea to make supporting others as a part of the monthly plan. 🙂

    Thanks for the inspiration.
